This book is about
The first book is called Scaredy Cat and Zak looks under the theatre stage when his parents have told him he is not allowed to. The Scaredy Cat finds him.
The second book is called The Vanishing Box. In this book, Madam Nishva performs illusions and tricks on the theatre stage. Zoe and Zak try to look at her props and Zoe goes into the Vanishing Box to hide. Zak thinks Zoe has disappeared, but he finds her sitting on the stage.
The main characters are
Zoe and Zak Brightly.

I liked the title pages for the two short stories.
I would also like to say
Zak should not have gone under the stage when his parents told him not to because he got lost and hurt.

This book is about
There are two stories in this book, which are about the Brightly family and their theatre on the pier.
The first story is called Scaredy Cat. Zak and Zoe Brightly are told not to go under the theatre stage, but Zak does. He calls Zoe Scaredy Cat.
The next story is called, The Vanishing Box. In this story Madam Nishva, a magician, makes a boy go to Africa by putting him in the Vanishing Box. Zoe enters the Vanishing Box and she disappears too. Zak tries to find her.
The main characters are
Mr. and Mrs. Brightly and their children, Zak and Zoe.
My favourite part of the book is
When Zak and Zoe meet Dan James when thinking about whether to go under the stage.
I would also like to say
Madam Nishva also did a trick where she seemed to cut off a man's legs and head.
