Scrapman thought that if he made the rest of cat, he wouldn't be lonely anymore, but he finds that a cat isn't just the body it's the noises as well...
The main characters are

Scrapman was made from scraps from the scrapyard, by Winson (Scrapman's owner).Scrapcat was made by Scrapman, from bolts, screws, a feather duster
and some wooden stool legs.Scrapman wanted Scrapcat to purr but all he could
find was a burglar alarm noise.
My favourite part of the book is
When Scrapcat's burglar alarm noise made the burglars drop the things they were stealing and run away.
I would also like to say
I felt like crying when the burglars tied Scrapman's body and mouth up, so he couldn't move or speak.
