This book is about
The cricket was singing when the other animals were getting food for winter. In winter, the cricket had no food. He asked the squirrels and the mice for food, but they would not share their food. The ants let the cricket share their food if he would sing for them again in the summer.

The main characters are
The cricket, mice, squirrels and ants.

My favourite part of the book is
When the squirrels were getting their food for winter.

I would also like to say
This book is a play.
