The Cheerful Cricket
What's the book about?
On a warm summer day, a happy cricket spends all his time singing while the other animals work hard to collect food for the cold winter. When snow comes and he has nothing to eat, the hungry cricket asks the mice and squirrels for help, but they turn him away. Kind ants finally share their food with him, and he learns that it’s important to work hard as well as have fun.

This book is about
The cricket was singing when the other animals were getting food for winter.
In winter, the cricket had no food. He asked the squirrels and the mice for food, but they would not share their food.
The ants let the cricket share their food if he would sing for them again in the summer.
