What's the book about?

Hansel and Gretel are very poor, so they set off through a dark forest to try to find work that will help their father. On their journey they meet a friendly old lady who seems to need their help and offers them comfort. But as the children stay in her strange little house, they begin to wonder whether she might be hiding a secret plan of her own.
