What's the Book About?
This is a funny traditional story about a very vain king who only cares about wearing the fanciest, most impressive clothes. Two clever tricksters pretend to make him a magic outfit that is invisible to anyone who is silly or not good at their job. Everyone is too scared to tell the truth, until one brave child speaks up and shows that honesty is more important than pride.

This book is about
There is going to be a New Years Parade and the Emperor wants some new clothes to wear. The Emperor is mean and greedy and all he cares about are his clothes. He doesn't care about the people who are poor.
He gets two dresssmakers, Asta and Anita, to make some new clothes for him. They plan to trick him by pretending to stitch him some fine cloth for him to wear, but really they have not made anything. They tell the Emperor that stupid people will think the cloth is invisible.
At the parade a street boy calls out that the Emperor is wearing no clothes and everyone laughs out loud.
After that the Emperor was never seen again.
The main characters are
The Emperor, Asta and Anita.
My favourite part of the book is
When the Emperor asks his wife, Sir Boris and the soldiers if he looks good in his new outfit.
I would also like to say
The Emperor deserved what happened to him because he was mean and did not care about the people.
