This book is about
The book is about electricity and what was used before electricity was discovered which were candles and oil lamps.
It tells you about different people that invented electrical things like Alessandro Volta that invented the first battery and Sir Joseph Swan and Thomas Edison who invented electrical lighting.

There are no main characters.
My favourite part of the book is
Seeing the pictures of old Victorian household items, like stoves.
I would also like to say
Victorian things are very different to our modern things that use electricity.
