What's the book about?
Clara is given a strange wooden man who can crack nuts, but she isn’t sure she believes he’s really magical. That night, she is whisked away on an amazing adventure where she shrinks, meets scary aliens, and is bravely rescued by her new wooden friend. Together they zoom off to a thrilling theme park, and when she finally wakes up, she’s left wondering if it was all just a dream.

This book is about
Clara had an adventure with the wonderful Nutcracker Man!
The main characters are
Clara, Grandad, Mum, Dad, Uncle Fergus and the Nutcracker Man.
My favourite part of the book is
When Nutcracker Man and Clara shot up the chimney to a theme park.
I would also like to say
That I would like to have a magical Nutcracker too!

Clara gets a nutcracker from her Uncle Fergus. He tells her it is magical and will give her wonderful dreams, but she didn't believe this.
Clara goes to bed, but couldn't sleep. She goes downstairs to find the nutcracker.
Clara shrinks and is trapped by aliens. Nutcracker Man breaks the aliens and rescues Clara.
Nutcracker Man takes Clara to a theme park with a roller-coaster.
Clara's Dad finds her lying on the floor with the nutcracker in her hand.

My favourite part of the book is
The roller-coaster ride.

I loved this book and think that Clara was having a dream.

This book is about
Uncle Fergus came to stay with Clara and brought presents for the family. Clara got a nutcracker in the shape of a man that she did not like, but Uncle Fergus said it was magic. At night she could not sleep and went to find the nutcracker. All of a sudden she shrank and was being attacked by an alien. Nutcracker man came to the rescue and with Clara's help they destroyed the alien army. Then nutcracker man took her to a theme park to ride a roller coaster before a flash of light awakened Clara from her dream.

My favourite part of the book is
When her dream took her to the theme park to ride on a roller coaster, which is what she wanted to do.
I would also like to say
I didn't like Nutcracker man; he was a show-off. I like the Prince in the real Nutcracker story much more.

This book is about
Uncle Fergus gives Clara a nutcracker. He Uncle told her it had special powers to make her have good dreams so at night she went downstairs and she went to get the nutcracker but she couldn't find it. Then she shrunk and then she saw Grandads Alien and it was huge but then the nutcracker came and got his big arm and crushed the alien.

The nutcracker when he chopped the head off the alien.
