What's the book about?

A new year means fresh starts, and Carly is determined to become a kinder, better person. But when her cousin Zoe comes to stay, she seems so weird and different that Carly is sure something is wrong – maybe even something from outer space! As Carly writes in her diary and uncovers the funny truth about Zoe, she learns that people can change on the outside while still being the same person inside.

This book is about
In the book, Zozo (Zoe - Carly's cousin) comes to stay with Carly's family because she wants to find a job in London. Carly gets to sleep with the baby while Zozo gets Carly's room. Carly and her friend Natalie go into Zozo's room and find a poster of planet Earth, a space helmet, a letter which says, I haven't told them yet that I'm really a vegan, food supplements and a small box of eyes. Carly and Natalie think that Zozo must be an alien. The next day, Zozo comes out her room with what looks like a death ray gun. Carly screams and faints. She later find out it is a hairdryer. Carly finds out that the space helmet is really part of the hairdryer, a vegan is someone who does not eat meat or use animal products and therefore needs food supplements and the 'eyes' are contact lenses.

The main characters are
Carly Ann Potter, Natalie McNulty and Zozo (Zoe).

My favourite part of the book is
When Carly's brother laughs at Carly and asks if she thought a vegan was from planet Vegas.

I would also like to say
The book is written like a diary.
