What's the book about?
Clive has his eye on a fantastic new pair of trainers he spotted in a shop window and he just can’t stop thinking about them. He tries to come up with clever ways to earn enough money, but things don’t always go quite to plan. Along the way, he discovers that working hard, using your imagination and getting help from others can make tricky problems much easier to solve.

This book is about
Clive wants some cool trainers, but his Mum says that she can't afford them, so Clive decides to get a job.
First he gets a job delivering newspapers, but he gives people the wrong newspapers. His next job was walking Toodles the dog, but Toodles runs off!
Clive saves someones bag from a river and the man gives him the cool trainers as a reward.
