Jake Jones v Vlad the Bad
What's the book about?
Jake is a young secret agent whose special watch starts beeping when mysterious things begin to go wrong. He discovers that a villain called Vlad is sneaking around and stealing everything that starts with the letter V, from vanilla ice cream to zoo animals. With his cool spy gadgets (including some very special underpants!) Jake must outsmart Vlad and bring all the missing V-things safely back.

This book is about
Jake's watch starts to beep because he is a special agent. Harry Handsome, the Chief Controller of SpyCorps HQ wants Jake to help find where the vanilla ice-cream supplies have gone and Vince Van Spangle, the pop-star.
Jake works out that things beginning with V are going missing.
He goes to see Mr. Oates at the zoo and finds out that the Vervet monkeys, vinegar flies and vultures have gone missing too.
Jake then goes to the museum and finds that the Viennese vases, statue of Venus and Valentine Vespa are missing.
Jake goes back home because he wants to check that his sister, Violet, had not gone missing. Violet was late home, but Vlad the Bad was in Jake's house eating chocolate cake. Vlad the Bad was making dog-treats out of things beginning with V.
Violet comes home and Jake stands in front of her to keep her safe. Vlad tries to shot her with the dog-treat transformer, but it bounces of Jake's reflective force-field generator that was disguised as a pair of underpants. He always wears these when on a mission.
All the things beginning with V re-appear.
