This book is about
At the start Cal is worried that his little sister Annie is going to tell everyone the secret about their dad. At first everything goes great but when Annie tells a boy Cal gets teased by everybody. But after school when his dad comes to pick them up it turns out that everything worked out for the better.

My favourite part of the book is
my favourite part of the story is the ending when they got to meet Cal's dad.

This book is about
Cal and his sister, Annie, have moved house and are starting a new school.
Cal tells Annie not to tell anyone their secret, but she tells the frog-wellie boy (her new friend) and he tells the others in the school.
Cal's classmates make fun of him (making him sad), because Annie said that her Dad is a pirate. Annie's friends are impressed with this.
Cal and Annie's Dad comes to pick them up from school. Cal feels anxious when he sees him.
The children crowd around the Dad and ask him questions about whether he is a pirate. He talks to them and explains that his eye had to be taken out because he had an accident.

The book is good at describing Cal's feelings at different times. I really enjoyed this book.
