What's the book about?
Fred really doesn’t like going shopping with his mum and little sister, but everything changes when he accidentally rides the lift all the way up to the mysterious 99th floor. There he meets a lonely alien with a broken spaceship and decides to help fix it, using his own clever ideas and a special toy. Together they share a secret adventure that makes Fred feel braver, kinder, and even a little bit excited about going shopping again.

This book is about
When Fred, his Mum and his sister go shopping, Fred decides to stay in the lift, while his Mum and sister get out to go to the cafe. He ends up going to the 99th floor.
He had seen a computer game in the shopping centre that said The Alien on the 99th Floor. He finds that he is with the alien on the 99th floor. The alien is sad because there was a hole in his spaceship. Fred mends it with his sister's toy.
The alien and Fred go on an adventure together in the shopping centre, but Fred then has to leave the alien to return to his Mum.
The main characters are
Fred and the alien.
My favourite part of the book is
When Fred says that he does not like shopping, but changes his mind at the end of the book so that he can see the alien again.
I would also like to say
Fred and the alien had similar clothes and patterns painted on their faces.
