This book is about
Jack wants to be a newspaper reporter.
In the newspaper he sees an article about a deadly bug at the local swimming pool that has caused the pool to close.
At school, Dave Howard from UltraGym visits. He promises to give the school sports equipment and some money. He gives the school a punctured basketball and a broken tennis racket.
Mr. Richardson from the local newspaper reports that the pupils think that Dave Howard is a 'super-hero' for donating thousands of pounds of sports equipment for them, but this is not correct.
Jack visits UltraGym and sees Dave Howard taking lots of money from the safe and leaving. Dave Howard goes to Norton Park and gives the money to Mr. Pribit.
With Veronica's help, Jack reports in the 'Daily World' that Mr. Pribit had faked the swimming pool water results. Mr. Howard asked Mr. Pribit to do this to make people join his expensive gym and swimming pool.
The main characters are
Jack Rico, Mr. Richardson, Veronica, Dave Howard and Mr. Pribit.
My favourite part of the book is
When Jack pretends to be playing football so that he can put a tape-recorder under the bench that Dave Howard and Mr. Pribit are sitting on.
I would also like to say
I think it was clever of Jack to put the mini recorder under the bench to record Mr. Pribit and Dave Howard talking.

IN THE BOOK, JACK RICO THE MAIN CHARCTERS BIGGEST DREAM IS TO GET A STORY HE HAS WRITTEN IN THE NORTON GAZETTE. BUT THEN THE EIDTER HATES HIS STORYS.THE NEXT DAY A BISSNESS MAN CAME AND DONATED MONEY TO THE SCHOOL THAT HE GOES TO WHICH IS CALLED NORTON SCHOOL.

My favourite part of the book is
MY FAVORITE PART OF THE BOOK IS NEAR THE END WHEN MR RICHARDSON CALLED JACK FOR HELP TO WRITE A STORY BECAUSE VERONICA GOT A JOB AT DAILY WORLD AND SHE TOOK IT WHICH IS THE BIGGEST BEST SELLING NEWSPAPER IN THE WHOLE OF THE COUNTRY ; THERE WASN'T ANYONE TO COVER UP THE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP.
I would also like to say
I WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE THAT IF ANYONE WANTS TO BE A NEWSPAPER REPORTER THAT THEY SOULD READ THIS BOOK TO GET SOME TIPS.

This book is about
Jack Rico wants to be a journalist. He keeps writing stories for the local newspaper, but they are not good enough.
One day he spies on Mr. Howard, who owns Ultra Gym. He finds out that he had the local swimming pool closed by getting Mr. Pribit, who is the Health Inspector, to say there was a bug in the swimming pool water.
Jack tapes Mr. Howard and Mr. Pribit´s conversation and has it put into a newspaper.

My favourite part of the book is
When Jack tapes the conversation between Mr. Howard and Mr. Pribit at the park.
