This book is about
One day, golden apples were missing from King Damon's tree, so he asked Prince Ivan to check that there were no theives. Prince Ivan found that there was a firebird that was taking the apples. Prince Ivan went to find the firebird and came across Grey Wolf. Grey Wolf took Prince Ivan to the firebird and told him to get the firebird without touching the cage, but Prince Ivan took the firebird then went back for the cage. The guards came and King Afron said that he would spare his life if he got King Kusman's golden horse. Grey Wolf helped him to do this, but told him not to touch the golden bridle. Prince Ivan took the horse and the golden bridle. King Kusman said he would spare his life if he got Princess Helen the Fair for him. This time, Grey Wolf did the job himself. He got Princess Helen the Fair and later Prince Ivan married her.

Prince Ivan, Princess Helen the Fair and Grey Wolf.
