This book is about
Biff and Chip visit their Gran's. As they flew Gran's dragon kite near her house, it got stuck in a tree. A land surveyor helped get the kite out of the tree and told Gran that there were plans to build a motorway near Gran's house and village. Gran got the people of the village to protest against the motorway, but this did not work. Gran was very upset and to cheer her up, Biff and Chip picked her some pretty wildflowers. Gran realized the flowers were very rare and managed to stop the motorway being built because it was important to keep the land protected for the flowers.

My favourite part of the book is
When the machinery left, a big hole was left in the ground. Gran turned it into a pond for ducks and frogs.

Who was the person peeking out behind the curtain at the town meeting? Very curious...
