What's the book about?

The story follows Biff, Chip and their friends as they get ready for a school play about life in wartime, but they find it hard to imagine what it was really like. Then the magic key begins to glow and whisks them back in time to a city during World War Two, where they meet a real child from the past. They have to stay safe during air raids, try on gas masks, and see bomb damage, before coming home with a much better understanding of how people lived and stayed brave.
