Our CVCC word cards focus on four-letter words with consonant blends at the end — like hand, milk and sand. These words help children move beyond simple CVC patterns and start handling adjacent consonants with confidence.

These cards are especially useful for:

• Practising blending through consonant clusters (like -nd, -mp, -nk)
• Strengthening fluency with longer decodable words
• Building accuracy without guessing
• Preparing for more complex spelling patterns

Use a small stack at a time and encourage your child to say each sound clearly before blending it together. If they stumble, slow it down and tap each sound. Short, focused practice makes a big difference.
