Doohickey and the Robot
What's the book about?
A clever boy becomes a scientist’s helper, but instead of getting to do exciting experiments he is told to clean the house from top to bottom. When the scientist goes out, the boy decides to use a special robot to do all the boring jobs for him. At first it seems like a brilliant idea, but soon the robot’s silly mistakes turn the house into a hilarious muddle that the boy has to sort out.

This book is about
A boy called Doohickey sees a sign, which says, ¨Professor seeks young assistant to help with exciting experiments and interesting inventions. Please ring the bell¨. He decides to see the Professor and gets the job. The Professor gets him to do housework, but he doesn´t want to do it. He gives the work to the robot and everything gets confused. When the Professor returns home, Doohickey gets into trouble and has to tidy the mess.
The main characters are
Doohickey, the dog (Newton), the robot and the Professor.
My favourite part of the book is
When Doohickey sees his reflection and thinks there are two Doohickeys.
I would also like to say
There is a bit at the back of the book about when the author got the idea for the book.
