What's the book about?

A boy gets zapped right into his pirate ship computer game and suddenly finds himself sailing the high seas for real. With Captain Patch and a lively crew, he searches for hidden treasure and explores what it’s really like to be a pirate. He’d better keep his wits about him though, or he might just end up walking the plank!

This book is about
Nate was starting a computer game called Pirates Treasure. He was then lifted into the game, where he saw some nasty pirates, but Captain Patch was nice. Captain Patch let Nate be a real pirate and help on the ship. He gave him a pirate name, Nasty Nate (even though Nate was not nasty). The pirates made Captain Patch and Nasty Nate walk the plank. They took away Captain Patch's treasure map. However, the pirates did not know that the map was not the real one and that Captain Patch had taken the real map and their life-boat. Captain Patch and Nasty Nate went to the island (after getting away from a shark) and found the treasure. Captain Patch could not have found the treasure without Nasty Nate because he could not read. At the end, Nate came out of the computer and went home.

The main characters are
Nate, Captain Patch and the pirates.

My favourite part of the book is
When Captain Patch and Nasty Nate find the gold coins.

I would also like to say
The barnacle stew did not look very nice to eat.
