What's the book about?

Luke loves making up monster stories, but one night the spooky noises from his wardrobe seem a bit too real. When his sister comes to check, they discover creepy creatures that have escaped from a very strange book. Together, they must use their wits, courage, and a few clever tricks from the book itself to stop the monsters from taking over the house.

This book is about
In the book, Luke knocks on the wall and his sister Carolyn goes to his bedroom. He says there is a noise coming from the wardrobe. Carolyn says he should read a book to help him to sleep. Luke chooses a scary book and it is called The Monster in the Wardrobe. The wardrobe opens and a monster comes out. Carolyn pulls Luke and runs downstairs. Then a giant spider jumps out at them. Carolyn tries to whack it with a golf club, but it does not work. Luke gets a water pistol and squirts water at the spider and it dissolves into a big heap of dust. Luke knew to do this because it said so in the book that he wrote. The monsters in his book were coming alive! Carolyn rips the pages from the book and eventually the monsters die.

The main characters are
Carolyn, Luke and the monsters.

My favourite part of the book is
When the monsters die because Carolyn rips the pages out of the book.

I would also like to say
Carolyn was very sensible and Luke had some good ideas.

This book is about
The book is about monsters coming alive from a book that it says is written by Luke McGuire. The monsters come alive in the middle of the night and fight with Carolyn and Luke. Carolyn and Luke go to the basement and Carolyn rips the pages out of the book so the monster will disappear. It was the book that made the monsters come alive because it was magic.

The main characters are
The monsters, Luke and his sister, Carolyn.

My favourite part of the book is
Reading what was in the ¨Big Book of Monsters¨ because I like finding out about monsters.

I would also like to say
The Sliveens in Doctor Who are a bit like Mr. Darkwood at the end of the book.
