What's the Book About?
Everyone in Shahnaz’s class is busy making things for the school craft fair, but she wants to create something completely different from everyone else. With some bright pink wool and a big imagination, she knits a funny square, pink mouse and wonders if anyone will like it. When the younger children see her cute creation, they all want one, and Shahnaz discovers that her unusual idea is actually very special after all.

This book is about
There is going to be a craft fair at the school. Miss Baxter's class make things for the craft fair. Shahnaz makes a Squink, which is a square, pink mouse.
The younger children come to see what has been made for the craft fair. They all want a Squink, so Shahnaz and her class have to make more of them.
The Squinks all get sold at the craft fair.
The main characters are
Shahnaz, Miss Baxter, Mrs. Moon, Barry Kent and Mandy.
My favourite part of the book is
When the children make a book called 'The Adventures of the Squink'.
I would also like to say
The name 'Squink' is made from the words square and pink.
