This book is about
The children are using a metal detector to find metal things at the beach. When they find a lantern, they take it to the cottage and clean it. They put a candle in it and put it on the windowsill. While playing cards, a bat arrives at the window and comes into the cottage. The children search the room for it. When they find it, they help it to escape.

The main characters are
Rico, Eden, Miranda, Sofia and George.

My favourite part of the book is
When the lantern is glowing in the dark.

I would also like to say
This story is a script of a play.
