What's the book about?

Deep in a snowy forest lives a scary old witch who loves nothing more than trying to catch children, but the brave kids she meets are clever enough to stand up to her. Along the way they show kindness to an injured tree, a rusty gate, a hungry dog and even the witch’s own servant, and all that kindness comes back to help them when they’re in danger. In the end, the witch’s nasty tricks fail, and readers are left feeling that courage, clever ideas and a good heart can outwit even the spookiest villain.
